When buying a bra that fits, you first need measure you chest. The chest is the area directly under your breasts which is your rib size. This measure will give you the band size, ex. 32, 34, 44 and so forth. If the measurement is not an even number, round the number up. Example, if the number is 32 and a half, round it up to 34. To get the bra cup size, loosely measure around your bust. Take the number and subtract the band size. If the difference is 1 inch then your bra cup size is A, if 2 inches, then the bra cup size is a B, if three inches, then the cup size is C, if four inches then the cup size is a D, if five inches then the cup size is DD and so forth.

To get a proper fit for a bra, after measuring choose the approprate size. Try the bra on. adjust the straps. then bend over to fill the cups of the bra with your breasts. straighten up. and see if the bra fits properly. Bras differ in comfort and fit according to brand names.

Bra Styles and Fashion Colors

Women's bras come in a variety of styles, fabrics and colors. Popular colors for bras are black, red, white, beige and pastel colors. It is best to wear a bra color that will not show drasticly through your clothing. For example, do not wear a black bra under a white shirt. Instead, a white or skin color bra is more appropriate.

Black lacey bras are considered very sexy. Red is another color that is considered sexy. Pastel colors can be very feminine. White and Beige are always in style and go with well under any clothing.

To get the most life out of your bra, proper care is essential. Do not put a bra in the dryer, it will wear out the elastic quicker. Always follow manufacturer's care instructions.
